FORMER CA MEDICAL ASSOCIATION PRESIDENT ENDORSES ROCKY
SAN DIEGO—The former head of California’s largest association of physicians, Robert Hertzka, M.D., today endorsed Rocky Chavez, candidate for the 76th Assembly District. Chavez is a retired Marine Colonel and former Secretary of the California Department of Veterans Affairs.
Hertzka is an anesthesiologist based in San Diego and for years has been an advocate for government efficiency in healthcare.
“Rocky Chavez is a leader when it comes to veterans issues, and I’m confident he’ll use those same proven skills to focus on healthcare reform with sound fiscal policy in mind.” said Dr. Hertzka. “I’m proud to endorse Rocky for California Assembly.”
Hertzka served as president of the California Medical Association (CMA) in 2004. The CMA represents more than 35,000 members in a variety of practices and specialties. Its mission is to serve healthcare recipients and member physicians through legislative, regulatory, economic and social advocacy. The CMA’s political action committee recently voted to financially support Chavez’s campaign for California Assembly.
“Dr. Hertzka has been serving his patients and his community for nearly thirty years, and I’m proud to have his support.” Chavez said. “Dr. Hertzka and I believe in protecting taxpayers and improving healthcare through greater government efficiency.”
Chavez is seeking to represent the 76th California Assembly District, which includes the cities of Oceanside, Vista, Carlsbad and Encinitas. The Chavez campaign is focused on jobs and the economy, education, veterans, and government efficiency. Chavez served as a Marine for more than twenty-eight years, retiring as a Colonel. He then went on to serve nearly a decade on the Oceanside City Council before leading the Department of Veterans Affairs.

An American test pilot (and Lieutenant) approached Bausch and Lomb and requested that they make suitable eye wear for pilots. The company took the challenge and Ray-Bans were born. Needless to say, the glasses found a market far beyond the pilots they were designed for. In 1937 the was patented and put out for sale to the general public. replica oakleys free shipping

Your blog is fine. I just want to comment on the design. Its too loud. Its doing way too much and it takes away from what youve got to say --which I think is really important. I dont know if you didnt think that your words could hold everyones attention, but you were wrong..

It's unfortunate to see Chavez pnyialg right into the west's perception of him as a cruel dictator. From what I have seen from him, it appears that he is skeptical of the populist nature of the uprising in Libya and the west's true motives in the region. While he certainly has reason to be concerned, I think this is just one of those cases where the revolution (as tainted by the west as it might be to some extent) must be supported. The real struggle against imperialism will come after the fall of the regime. Chavez should save his political capital for that moment if he really wants to protect Libyans from neo-liberalism.

Im Not getting Involved Again! There Too Many Of You!Don't worry. You psoted off-topic and in an "old" post. I doubt anyone is interested in coming in here for yesterday's post. And by posting your comment, you are getting involved again, buddy. Can I Ask A Question Though? That was a question.Ok...go ahead and ask another:Do You Guys Watch FOX news as you main information source? Cause I Do Have To Say It Is Not exactly Objective In Its Reporting/You cannot be serious?! Is that a serious question? Look at all my posts for crying out loud. How often am I citing from FOX? Click on the links. They are fairly diverse. Uh...yeah, I do watch FOX.I am not a fan of TV news. But I love following all the mainstream channels, just to watch for the bias. I visit Crooksandliars as often as I would visit Ian's Exposetheleft for videos on tv news segments that they find interesting. And I flip between channels and catch CSPAN, CNN, MSNBC, local news, and so on. It's funny how if you are on the right, you must listen to Rush, FOX, Hannity and O'Reilly. It boggles the mind. Fox is right of center. But they are more to the center than most other stations. This is the same network that broke the story of President Bush's drunk driving citation, moments before the 2000 election.Ok, so conservatives have FOX news and talk radio. So what? Meanwhile, you have CNN, NBC, the CBC, the BBC, CBS (see BS), PBS, NPR, the NY Times, the LA Times, the Washington Post, and on and on. You guys on the left can only cite FOX. I'll concede that, proudly. But it baffles me when folks on the Left fail to acknowledge that there is liberal media bias. Tell me: Do you know who Eason Jordan is? Do you know why he is no longer with CNN? Did you know that CNN admitted to not running negative news stories on Saddam, but turned aside from reporting on his atrocities, just so they could keep a news bureau in Baghdad? Did you know that similarly, AP and Reuters photojournalists and writers in Palestine, also misrepresent the news? Read Stephanie Gutmann's "The Other War".How many consecutive frontpage stories did the NY Times run on Abu Ghraib? What do you know about Rathergate? How many anti-war, anti-Bush stories did 60 Minutes run with, prior to 2004?Have you been brought up to speed on Plamegate? And which paper pushed that story?Did you pay attention to the Reuters' photos during the recent Hezbollah-Israel conflict?the Center for Media and Public Affairs found that John Kerry got more positive press than any other presidential candidate in the last quarter century, in an analysis of 500 news stories.the Project for Excellence in Journalism and the Pew Research Center have found bias.A number of studies polling journalists find that the majority of journalists admit to either voting Democrat, or consider themselves independants...and yet, surprise! Vote democrat. The last one I looked at was a UCLA study. Oh, and uh...this may be news to you but...pssst: Hello!?!!? I read blogs!
